Keepmora AI is designed so your exported chat can be processed on your device instead of being uploaded to us.

Chat content

The core product parses the WhatsApp ZIP, organizes messages and media, scores visual highlights, renders previews, and lets you edit the journal in your browser. We do not intentionally transmit the text of your conversation, photos, voice notes, videos, or documents to our servers.

On-device AI

The highlight model included in the product runs locally in your browser. It is used to score moments for visual emphasis. It does not send the conversation to an AI provider and does not rewrite your messages.

Payments and licenses

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant-of-record payment provider. To verify a purchase, the product may send a license key and a one-way journal fingerprint to our license endpoint. The fingerprint is derived from the export and is not the conversation text itself.

Link previews

If a message contains a YouTube link, displaying its thumbnail can contact YouTube, and playing an embedded preview contacts YouTube. Opening any other link contacts its destination. These external requests are separate from local chat processing and do not upload the conversation to us.

Local storage

To carry a prepared journal through checkout and allow same-session editing after payment, Keepmora may temporarily store the prepared journal, the selected source file, theme and edit choices in browser storage on your device. This temporary copy is not uploaded to Keepmora servers. We may also store the purchase license instance and journal fingerprint in your browser so a paid journal can be recognized on the same device later. You can clear this through your browser storage settings.

Analytics

The initial release is designed without behavioral advertising trackers. If privacy-respecting analytics are added later, this policy will be updated before they are enabled.

Data retention

Because chat contents are processed locally, we do not have a server-side copy to retain or delete. Payment records are retained by Lemon Squeezy according to its legal and tax obligations.

Your responsibility

Only upload and process conversations you are legally entitled to use. A journal may contain another person’s personal information; treat the exported result accordingly.
